Add Remove Programs

To uninstall a program using the Add/Remove Program utility, perform the following steps:

1. Click Start, and then Control Panel.
2. Double-click the Add or Remove Programs icon. The Add/Remove programs window will open.
3. Select the program you want to remove from the list by clicking it,and then click Change/Remove.
4. Follow the onscreen instructions to uninstall the software.
5. Restart the computer, if prompted.

Removing unnecessary software programs prevents them from starting and gives the hard drive more space. Do the following to remove unwanted programs:

1. Click Start , and then Control Panel.
2. Under Programs, click Uninstall a program.
3. Examine the items that appear inside the Uninstall or change a program window closely. The items listed are programs currently installed on the computer.
4. Select the items in the list that you do not want, and click the Uninstall/Change button.

5. After all items have been removed, close all open windows restart the computer.
